The City of Orangeburg is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Maintenance Worker with the Parks & Recreation Department.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: FRIDAY, May 24, 2013
Duties include:

• Landscaping, mowing and maintaining parks and beautification sites; rights of way;
• Cleaning and maintaining public and recreational facilities; Inspecting, cleaning and performing maintenance on public drinking fountains and restrooms;
• Performing minor semi-skilled interior building maintenance such as painting, plumbing and carpentry;
• Performing maintenance on lawn and power equipment.

Qualifications
Experience: At least two years of experience in grounds keeping and building maintenance preferred.
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required or any combination of education and experience that demonstrates ability to perform the work.
Successful candidates must possess a valid South Carolina Driver's License.


Starting Pay: $19,000 Annually (Non-Exempt)
