Golf Cart Attendant



The City of Orangeburg's Hillcrest Golf Course is seeking a qualified individual as a Golf Cart Attendant. Position is part-time and will assist members and guests with golf facilities and equipment to ensure a quality golf experience.


Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Expectations:

This individual will provide premium service while maintaining a clean and safe environment for members, guests, and staff. Know and embrace the new Hillcrest mission statement and premium service basics. Duties include but are not limited to:

 

  • Greeting members and guests at bag drop warmly.

  • Be available to assist members and guests at all times.

  • Ensure cart areas remain clean at all times.

  • Clean and prepare golf carts for use (i.e. stock towels, tees, pencils, scorecards, etc.).

  • Report any cart problems promptly to appropriate personnel.

  • Ensure driving range is neatly set-up and stocked with range balls.

  • Maintain driving range and equipment.

  • Complete tasks in every phase of outside operations contributing to the success of the Hillcrest Golf Program.

     

Minimum Skills & Qualifications:

  • At a minimum, must have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Customer Service focused and experience in working with the public in a highly professional manner.
  • Quality-focused, with a strong ability to multi-task.
  • CPR and First Aid, desired.
  • Golf-related experience, desired.
  • Some experience in using a computer.
  • Must have good math skills.
  • Valid Drivers License.

Duties of this job will require frequent sitting and/or standing for lengthy periods of time and walk. Must be able to lift/move up to 30lbs unassisted. Employee will be regularly exposed to outside weather conditions.

This is a part-time position - up to 25 hours per week. $8.00/hr. Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

Offer of employment contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check.
